The American Express gift card is a prepaid card that can be used at more than a million businesses in the United States (where American Express Cards are accepted.)
They come in 8 different styles, so you can customize them for different gift-giving occasions. The styles/themes are: general gift, birthdays, teens, kids, wedding, movie lovers, dining, and thank you. (The “teen” card is shown on the right.) These are also great for thanking clients and rewarding colleagues.
Your gift recipient can use the card for goods, meals, entertainment, most anything (though some restrictions do apply. You can’t use the card on cruise lines, or at casinos, ATMs or for recurring billing purchases, for example.)
The cards don’t expire. There will be a “valid thru” date on the front of the card, but the funds on the card will still be available, though they will be reduced by a small service fee, starting a year past the date that the gift card was purchased.
And you can order the cards right online. All you need to do is click here and choose a prepaid amount: $25, $50, $100, $200, $500. Then follow the instructions.
