Beach Sand Foot Rub
Ingredients
2 Tablespoons of dry beach sand
2 Tablespoons of canola oil
4 drops of rosemary oil
Instructions
Place beach sand in a container. Add canola oil and mix. Once mixed well
add 4 drops of rosemary oil mixing all into a paste. Rub onto feet being
sure to work well into dry skin areas. Rinse with warm water and dry
feet completely.
Natural Face Toner for Acne
Ingredients
8 oz distilled water or a floral water
2 drops Lavender essential oil
1 drop Palmarosa essential oil
1 drop Rosewood essential oil
Instructions Pour water into a plastic bottle. Add all three oils, cap
bottle tightly and shake to mix all ingredients together. Using cotton
balls apply toner to your face. Be sure to cover entire face and neck.
Be careful around eyes. Toner will stay good for up to one week but be
sure to shake before each use to make sure all ingredients are mixed
well.
Fruit Moisturizer for Dry Itchy Skin
Ingredients
1 banana not too ripe
1 papaya, peach or avacado
Instructions
Place banana and papaya, peach or avacado in blender and puree. Remove
from blender and apply to areas of the skin that are dry, itchy and or
flaky. Allow to stay on skin area for 30 minutes. Rinse area well with
warm water. After rinsing apply margaine or vegatble oil to area for an
added moisturizer.
Ground Oat Body Scrub
Ingredients
2 Tablespoons rolled oats ground
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 Tablespoons aloe vera
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
Put rolled oats in blender and blend into a very fine powder. Place oats
in small mixing bowl. Add brown sugar and lemon juice. Mix well. Once
mixed, add aloe vera and stir into a paste being sure there are no
lumps. Dampen the skin you will be applying paste to and massage paste
onto skin. Rinse with warm water. Double the recipe to use over entire
body.
Home Treatment for Chlorinated Hair
Ingredients
1 egg
1 eggshell's worth of olive oil
1 peeled cucumber quartered
Instructions
Break egg into glass bowl. Pour olive oil in egg shell measure then add
to egg. Blend well. Place peeled cumcumber quarter into mixture and
blend well making sure cucumber is mashed and mixed in well. Blend into
hair beginning at the roots and working to the ends until hair is
completely covered. Allow to stay in hair for ten to fifteen minutes.
Rinse hair thoroughlywith warm water to remove. Best if treatment is
used once a month all year long.
Homemade Lotion to Soften Your Skin
Ingredients
1 cup dried chamomile
4 Tablespoons honey
1 cup milk
8 teaspoons wheat germ
Instructions
Place milk in small sauce pan on low heaat. Add chamomile and allow to
simmer on low for a couple of hours. Pour through a strainer to remove
any remaining dried chamomile. Place wheat germ and honey to liquid
mixing well. Use as a lotion over entire body. Lotion stays fresh in the
refrigerator for one week.
Lemon Bleach for Elbows
Ingredients
1/2 lemon
1/2 cup water
3-4 drops of Peppermint essential oil
Instructions
Squeeze juice from the lemon into a small mixing bowl. Add three to four
drops of peppermint oil and stir. Add water and mix together throughly.
Lay two cotton balls in liquid and soak. Be careful not to soak too
long. Apply cotton balls to your elbow leaving cotton ball on area until
your elbow dries. Repeat two to three times.
Moisturizer and Wrinkle Defying Face Mask
Ingredients 2 Tablespoons cornmeal Enough water to make a paste with
cornmeal 2 drops Geranium essential oil 2 drops Frankincense essential
oil 1 drop Myrrh essential oil Instructions Mix corneal with water and
make a paste. Add oil to paste and mix well. Apply mask mixture to face
and neck. Allow to stay on skin for 30 minutes. Remove with soft cloth
and warm water.
Natural Eye Shadow Remover
Ingredients
1 Tablespoon castor oil
1 Tablespoon light olive oil
2 teaspoons Canola oil
Instructions
Place castor oil in a small mixing bowl. Whisk in olive oil until well
blended. Add Canola oil and whisk well making sure all ingredients are
blended together. Use a cotton ball lightly soaked in oils and lightly
rub on eyes to remove makeup.
Soothing Body Scrub from Apricots
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon Apricot oil
1 teaspoon Castor oil
1/2 teaspoon Beeswax
1 Tablesppon Sea salt
1 teaspoon Almond powder
2 teaspoon Baby Shampoo base
Instructions
In medium size saucepan place apricot and castor oil. Heat over medium
heat until just starts to get hot. Add beeswax and stir until all
ingredients are melted together. Be sure to stir often mixing
ingredients together well. Take pan off the heat and add almond powder.
Stir until well blended. Add sea salt and mix well. Once all is mixed
together add shampoo. Use as a body scrub on entire body. Rinse well
with cool water.
