2. Give memories and experiences instead of things.

3. Don’t be afraid of the unusual.

8. Don't rush.
Take pride in your ability to pick out the perfect gift. Whether you spend a little or a lot, finding the perfect gift is worth the time that it takes to find something that's just right.
All in all, you want to think about the type of experience that you want to give the gift recipient. If you know a busy mom who needs to relax and spend more time by herself, a nurturing spa trip is a great idea.
