Affirmations and Positive Thinking
Affirmations and positive thinking can tap the power of your
subsconscious mind and propel you toward your goals.
Here's how to write your own affirmations:
Step One
Ask yourself: What about your life would you most like to change? Make a
quick, brief list of your most significant life challenges.
Step Two
Break down these challenges into specific areas that you can work on.
The more specific the affirmation statement the more effective it will
be.
So, "I owe a lot of money" becomes "I owe money to credit card
companies."
Step Three
For each specific challenge from Step Two, brainstorm all of the
possible solutions. Visualize the best possible outcome of your problem.
Step Four
State this positive outcome in a clear, direct sentence. Again, try to
focus on specifics. Write your affirmation in the present tense and in a
positive way.
Example: "I will pay off my credit card debt" becomes "I can pay off my
credit card debt." (Note the present tense construction.)
If you find objections surfacing in the form of negative self-talk,
restate the objection in the form of affirmations and positive thinking.
Example: Affirmation: "I can pay off my credit card debt." Objection: "I
can't come up with that kind of money!" New affirmation: "I can find
ways to earn all the money I need."
Print your affirmations and place them where you'll see them throughout
the day. Repeat your affirmations aloud - with confidence - at least
three times each day. Say your affirmation just before bed, so your
subconscious mind has something to chew on while you sleep and repeat
them again in the morning, when your refreshed mind is more receptive to
new thoughts and ideas.
Some find it helpful to record affirmations and positive thoughts into a
tape recorder and listen to them in the car, at work, or while doing
housework. Or consider using pre-recorded affirmations from Behavior
Modification and Positive Thinking expert Mike Brescia. (Read my review

The more you can replace negative energy with affirmations and positive
thoughts, the more you open your life to creativity, growth, peace, and
love. Enjoy the process.
